Create one factual source of truth
Company names, dates, titles, project outcomes, tools, and measurement definitions must stay consistent. Maintain a master fact record and generate both language versions from it so repeated edits do not create contradictions.
Adapt the writing, not the facts
English resumes usually favor concise sentences and explicit action verbs, while Chinese resumes may retain more business context. Rewrite sentence structure instead of preserving Chinese word order, and avoid inflated verbs you could not defend in an interview.
Match keywords separately
The same capability may be described differently in job postings from different markets. Read the target job description in its own language and use terminology that employers in that field actually use.
Handle official names carefully
Prefer official English names for employers, schools, and credentials. When no official translation exists, choose one clear version and use it consistently. Explain a market-specific concept briefly the first time it appears.
Proofread and export each version
Have someone familiar with the target hiring context review naturalness. Test dates, links, page breaks, and character rendering separately. If English text runs longer, remove repetition before shrinking the font.
Use claims you can explain and trace. Keyword matching should reveal wording gaps, never manufacture experience.
