Confirm factual consistency
Check dates, figures, employer and product names, tools, and links against your master record. Look especially for timeline conflicts left behind after tailoring for another role.
Confirm role alignment
Your summary, skills, and first two experience entries should use language relevant to this job without adding experience you do not have. Verify that the file name and target role match this application.
Inspect the actual file
Open the exported PDF and test text selection order, links, fonts, and reading continuity across pages. Do not rely only on the editor preview or switch to an untested template at the last minute.
Run a ten-second scan
Read only headings, employers, titles, dates, and the first bullet under each role. If the most important proof is still buried, change the order instead of adding more color or decoration.
Protect privacy and save the application record
Remove unnecessary identity numbers, full home addresses, internal links, and confidential data. Record the application date, job description, and exact resume version so you can prepare accurately for an interview.
Use claims you can explain and trace. Keyword matching should reveal wording gaps, never manufacture experience.
